I used it on my car seat vinyl upholstery, on the side of the seat and worked just like you describe in the video. It is not looking perfect, but I don't have a cut anymore. Before seeing this video I had no idea about the Performix VLP. By the way, this is the name you should search for, not Plasti Dip VLP. Many thanks for this video!

Sold me on it. Just ordered a tube and going to use it to repair my snowmobile seat. Way better than duct tape! Thanks.

After watching this video last week, I ordered and just received my tube of VLP for a rip in my tonneau cover (tree branch) fell on it. Cleaned it yesterday doing the repair today. I will let you know my results soon. Thanks for a great video covering this job. Cheers from Motown.

Great product and excellent "how to". I saved my new leather niece stabbed one piece of the sectional with a pen/pencil. I had only had the furniture for two product really works.

Here I am with my tube of VLP like, "no way I just use this alone, it will never hold up to weather and stretching". Unreal.

Of course this guy is going to show you what it can do easily. Most people don't have a razor cutting a clean line, they have a tear like I have. I tried this product on my fairly straight vinyl tear and it absorbed into the material below the tear and not mending the 3 inch x 1/16 inch opening the tear had. I done a second application and it did seal or mend the tear, but quite visible. A video illustrating how to put a color matching patch underneath the tear might be more practical than a razor cut, but at least my tear will stop getting bigger sliding into my vinyl eating booth from a 70's pizza parlor.

Instead of this expensive kit that I returned because I realized what it was you can use acrylic paint Walmart has it in arts and crafts. Some have a filler you can water down acrylic jel medium or use Elmer's Glue.
That is exactly what's in these kits.
You can even use satin finish acrylic spray paint.
After you've painted it spray it with flat clear coat to stop it from coming off.
The expensive kits don't bother telling you that.

Hello, I'm trying to repair a Nelson bubble lamp that has a thin skin of plastic polymer. I tried using clear patches but it isn't working. Do you think if I use painters tape on the inside to hold material together, then use the product you suggested this may work?

I am considering buying a used pontoon boat that has areas where the vinyl is cracked.  Can I use this product to fill in the cracks before repainting?  Can I gesture this product as well.  Not experienced in this fiend but very handy and patient but I don't want to get in over my head.  The boat is a good deal if I don't have to recover it.

Yo make the repair less likely to fail, you should use Masters cement on a peoce of nylon and on the back of the vinyl and put them together. Then on the front use the Plasti Dip
