I think that heat gun usage is not good, heat will damage it more, just be patient and wait, it maybe took 1 or 2 day with all step but it will last long.

That looks bad. Why not use SEM texture costing and landau black dye? You don't need to sand it first, clean well. Apply vinyl hyde and press with your graining pad, apply light coats of texture coating then dye..no need to use the heat gun after, use light coats of dye

Hey question so is the filler itself sandable ? I’ve got some excess along the sides of my repair and I’m wondering what the best way it is to go about blending it in? Or just the actual repair spot itself. Can we fill heat sand while building up layers and then once I’m satisfied with the final layer I can then make the impression with the leather pattern ?
