I'm really surprised the police didn't act on this further after the hazmat team mentioned something being at the front door. Umar is a legend for doing so much to figure out things for his family instead of leaving it to the professionals. Also, apparently Li (Heisenberg) has a wife and kids of his own. Imagining a parent doing something like this to another child is so disgusting.

Misophonia. It makes you hear things much easier than "normal" people. I was pissed in college at the downstairs neighbor. I even called the cops. I told them it was so loud they have to be able to hear it by the front door, but they didn't. It wasn't the apartment underneath me, but his next door neighbor. There is no way that I should have been able to hear them, but I did. Because, I found out, I have misophonia.

As someone with very noisy upstairs neighbors, and also doing a PhD and sleeping very little, I can guarantee you all this is a function of the chemists’ psychopathy and nothing else.

I have misophonia, not as aggressive. My neighbours coughing is making me go crazy and im not sure which neighbour it is. I should have NEVER moved here 100% because of the coughing

dude there were so many other solutions for this, Heisenberg could've moved to an apartment on the top floor, he could've bought a house, lived with his parents, bought noise cancelling headphones- but trying to poison his upstairs neighbors is beyond insane.

Considering he tried to murder a family I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he was probably not actually hearing anything. Dude probably has some form of psychosis, some kind of auditory hallucination.

My friend has this kind of issue, and he thinks the entire building plumbing system has noises. He asked me and I introduced a therapist to him. He seems fine for now.

The only possible thing I can think of causing the noise, is maybe the walls were hollow near the bed and traveling well near there. I lived somewhere, where the wall was hollow near my bed and it echoed merely everything. Even the sound of the fan seemed much louder thanks to the wall. If you weren't near the wall, you couldn't hear everything else merely as much. It's odd.

This sounds like a (not so uncommon) case of auditory hallucination psychosis with a psychopathic and tragic outcome. Thankfully the family was resourceful and in time to prevent death

I imagine either the guy has super sensitive hearing or some kind of illness and what he is hearing isn't what he thinks it is. But even so, trying to poison a family over it is insane.

I understand getting angry over some noise but trying to kill someone is absolutely insane
