Giving back "stolen lands" isn't very "unburdened by what has been"...

My son thinks he’s a communist yet he’s married with 2 children and military background. I went down to visit, a 1 1/2 hr drive one way. He starts with me and my choice of voting. I told him I am not doing this but he wouldn’t stop and when he got disrespectful and nasty saying I don’t love my grandchildren if I vote red, I then got up and left. I avoid it at all costs but in his mind he feels that desperation of the left losing. It takes a chunk of my heart every time. He doesn’t understand that

Mark Hamil was a childhood hero of mine.
He has destroyed his own reputation not just in real life but also in the recent Star Wars movies.
So sad.

I am Native American in Canada. First Nations. Anyways they have been talking like this in Canada for ever. I'm tired of it. It's ok to acknowledge us, but I don't want the land back. What would we do with it? The system and infrastructure built by the settlers are great and I don't intend to remake new government. In Canada First Nations are better treated in the USA (its true) and although I appreciate the sentiment, we can get over it now... we lost as many other nations all over the world have lost and its just how it goes. This is mass victimization of a race. I am not a victim.

I have a very diverse extended family who land on both sides of the political spectrum. The one person who has blown up, yelled, cried, lectured, and made things uncomfortable is our farthest left family member. I’ve never seen any of my conservative friends get in peoples faces, but I’ve seen liberal friends yell, scream, start arguments, try to bait others into situations, and even spit on someone they did not agree with.

54 years in politics and no accomplishments to speak of sounds like a sad and depressing legacy to leave behind. For some reason that also made me think of Nancy Pelosi.

I’m a US citizen. I live here, I work here, I pay taxes here. You can’t tell me this isn’t my land too!

I’m so glad to hear you talking about the Shroud of Turin! I’ve been researching it for months. It’s amazing.

If the indigenous peoples did such a good job at defending the land, we wouldn't be in America.

I can do far better than Knowles: Day one summarized in 6 words: "The Lunatics are running the asylum".

You're welcome.

It was the Democrats who several years ago said, "go to Thanksgiving and start a political discussion, get unpleasant, make it miserable for everyone" ❗

There was an older study on the Shroud of Turin that analysed the image on the Shroud. It's reaaaally crazy. The image is a photographic negative, which is why it was inverted for the study. The scientists also used a filter on the image to better recognize subtle shapes that can't be seen on the bare cloth. The picture was most likely imprinted by radiation emmission.

The first crazy thing is that the picture is a perfectly orthogonal projection, as if the body had emmitted only parallel light rays downwards and upwards. If the body had emmited light in all directions, the final picture would be warped, like a 360 camera footage. Instead, you can see the man's front and back without any warping. That sort of projection is practically impossible to happen naturally or to be artifically recreated. It's something that only exists in really abstract geometry.

The second thing is the historical accuracy. The man was wearing a crown of spikes from a certain bush that today grows in the eastern mediterranean area. He was also wearing some skirt and a belt made from snake's skin, which is also fron a snake that lives in that area. He was wearing traditional jewish leather straps around his arm, which are used for prayer. His wrists and feet were pierced by nails, which can still be seen on the picture.

Now the craziest part: The picture is actually an overlay of many differen pictures. At first glance, some body parts of the man may seem out of proportion, but in the analysis, the scientists noticed that those body parts had been imprinted mutiple times in different places, like a long exposition photograph. That means that the body moved while the picture was being imprinted.

This is a massive oversimplification of the study, but an elaborate explanation about it can be found on YouTube. It was also conducted by an Italian institute whose name I forgot. The obvious conclusion is that God left us literal footage of His Ressurection, and now the dating also lines up. This is a real can-I-get-an-amen moment.

If we don't have right to land we have no right to invite others in. When you visit a neighbor you don't bring the whole neighborhood with you.

I swear, America is the only country where it’s residents are so hung up on the colonization of the land. It’s getting real old
