The line about Dad's pens got me. My Dad always carried his trusty Papermate in his shirt pocket, and bought refills for it whenever he would run it dry. He was a Ford man through and through, and shot slides everywhere we went with his Canon. I write things out, drive a Ford, shoot Canon....and remember my Dad❤

"i have adhd" continues to perfectly organize his 20 different favorite pens hahaha I relate way too much to that. As someone in the midst of creating new habits for myself this was so helpful! Thank you!

Alright!! A video on pens and notebooks? We're in!!

Love the commitment to finding the perfect accoutrements, whether it's EDC knives or the best pen/pocket notebook combo. Thanks for sharing, Pete!

Five months ago, I had a sleepless night. I made coffee and this video came up. 2.30am and I made the decision to make a journal after seeing this.

I bought it the next day, habit tracker, daily thoughts and an adventure of self discovery. It's the best thing I did last year and I'm now on my 2nd one. Thank you for inspiring me Peter!

<--ADHDer. I have 7 active journals that all have specific functions. I WILL NOT use one for what should be in another one. I always carry three with me and the others live in specific rooms in my apartment.

I’m liking content like this where you focus on helping us be more productive or find ways to improve our mental health. Other example being the video where you shared about having a minimalistic Home Screen on your phone. I’ve been using a minimalistic Home Screen ever since!
I’ve been on a fitness journey for the past few months and I’m now in the best shape of my life. Where I’m slacking is my creative journey so I’m going to apply this to my life starting today. Thank you Peter! Have a good day.

I started a journal because of this channel mid last year. I slowly stopped keeping it, but somewhat recently picked it back up. Shortly after starting again, my mother passed. Going through her stuff in the days after, I discovered that she kept a journal. Found several notebooks filled with stuff. Made me decided to double down on my own journal, then this video shows up in my feed today. Long story short, Thank you. This will help me journal with more focus this time around

I’ve enjoyed watching the evolution of this channel. This used to be my go-to place for improving my photography. Now you’re helping improve my life.

Switching to the Leuchtturm 1917 from the Moleskine was an absolute game-changer for me! A5 dotted notebook with 256 pages is perfect for about 4 months of daily planning and habit tracking with pages left over for notes and future planning. Something about putting pen to paper just beats typing out notes on a keyboard or cell phone.

Ah, the sacred art of chronicling brilliance! A diary for ideas, a log for creative sparks, and a tracker for runs - you're basically a hybrid of Einstein, Hemingway, and Forrest Gump. Keep those pages turning and those legs moving! 🙂

As a viewer of many years and a stationery enthusiast, it's such a joy watching you talk about stationeries, journaling and your productivity. Feels like my interest and world colliding I love it. I love journaling and habit tracking, so I am so excited that you're talking about this! Hopefully more people will get on board and we can make pen and paper mainstream again. Love your work!
Also, nice taste, TWSBI is also my favorite fountain pen ever!

The best part is that you are keeping all of this to yourself and you don't have to subscribe to anything, you own as well as keep your data and piece to yourself!

Pete, love your notebooks - I have a similar system but one recommendation for your system: For the sleep graph, write the order of days the other way around (i.e. the days on the same lines as the days on the opposite page) then you can see easily how what you do int he day corresponds to your sleep. I found it really interesting to see trends in length of sleep from, say, eating less sugar.
Also - for the mini books, the guys who make the big one also make a smaller one which also has a back pocket - it's the perfect size for a small yard-o-led pencil if you want to be super minimalist

This might be the most beautiful A-Roll you've ever had. So much depth and density of color and contrast in this main angle. Distractingly good.

I love the concept of “unlocking” a habit. I’ve always been a habit tracker, but never looked at it this way. It makes sense though, you have to focus and work to build a routine or habit, and then at a certain point it just “unlocks” and becomes natural and effortless. Genius! 🤯

My first photography book is literally an expansion of my photo-journal. The thought, meditation and mindset behind each image. I absolutely love journaling and tracking as you do. It has become therapy for me, a way of focusing my thoughts and ability to face the struggles in life head on.

I've been following you for many years, taking inspiration from your videography and gear reviews. This is a worlds colliding moment for me here, as I've been in the fountain pen/writing business for 15 years now and I hear daily about how much journaling for productivity and mental health changes people's lives. I've experienced this myself, also. There's a huge portion of the pen/writing community that is neurodivergent, and seeing examples of what techniques help with things like organization and memory is refreshing and eye opening. I really appreciate you speaking so much about your experience here and sharing it with others, it's such an important thing that so many people struggle with (including myself). Keep up the great work Peter, it's a lifelong journey to discover how you best think and work, and dialing it what works for you is a very worthy pursuit. -Brian Goulet

I turned this video off after 7:20, that's how long it took to get buzzed, I immediately went for my first run of the year and then came back and worked on some creative projects. Back to the video the next day to finish! Love photographer Pete, but it's good to have video Pete back too! Thanks mate!

Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Here are some simple things that completely changed my life:
1. I stopped mindlessly scrolling and started being intentional with my time
2. I read all books from Mindbloomery and I implemented all their lessons in my daily routine. Learning about mindset and self-mastery changed everything for me
3. I started prioritizing self-respect over people pleasing, and it turns out I have much more time for myself
4. After I read 'Power of assertiveness: Unlock your potential' I stopped procrastinating and stopped second-guessing all my decisions
