Hey guys! I have an intermediate 6 petal flower pattern for you today. If you are looking for a beginner flower pattern or would like to check out the other flower patterns please click the link below:

Let’s get started.

Set up - Cut 15 pieces of 3mm string, each piece is approx. 6.5 ft (2 meters) long. Please note that after you complete this wall hanging you will have about 16-20 inches (40-50cm) left hanging below your flower.

Petal 1
Use the middle left cord as your filler cord and tie a DHHK working to the right. Using the same filler cord tie 6 more DHHKs working down and to the right.

Using the inside left cord as your filler cord tie 6 DHHKs working down and to the left.

Tie a square knot (SK) with the 4 middle cords. Tie two alt. SKs underneath the first SK. Tie 3 alt. SKs underneath the second row. Tie two alt. SKs underneath the 3rd row of SKs. Tie one alt. SK underneath the 4th row of SKs.

Using the same filler cords tie 6 more DHHKs on the right and left sides of your work.

Using the left cord as your filler cord tie one more DHHK to connect the two sides.

Petal 2
Using the outside left cord as your filler cord tie 11 DHHKs working to the right and in a curve.

Skip the first cord on the left and tie a SK with the next 4 cords. Tie another SK to the right of the first SK. Tie an alt. SK below and in between the first 2 SKs. Tie another SK to the right of that SK. Tie 2 more alt. SKs underneath the 2nd row.

Using the outside left cord as your filler cord tie 10 DHHKs working to the right and in a curve.

Petal 3
Using the same method as Petal 2 create another petal on the right side of your work.

We will create the top half of the middle of the flower. Using the inside cords as your filler cords tie 3 DHHKs on both sides of your work. Using the same filler cord on the left tie one more DHHK working to the right. Using the filler cord on the right tie one more DHHK working to the left.

Petal 4
Repeat the same method as Petal 2 to create another petal underneath it. For this petal start about 3 inches down from Petal 2 and work your way up.

Petal 5
Repeat the same method as Petal 4 to create another petal on the right side of your work.

We will create the bottom half of the middle of the flower.

Using the left filler cord tie 2 DHHKs working down and to the right. Using the right filler cord tie 2 DHHKs working down and to the left. Using the inner left cord as your filler cord tie one more DHHK to connect the two sides.

Petal 6
Repeat the same method as Petal 1 to create the final petal.

Thanks for watching!

Wow, you have really mastered the double half-hitch knots! This isn't easy either. Your flower is perfect all the way around. Getting each petal to match both sides is challenging. You did a great job! 😍😍😍

I very much like that you work in real time! Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I also like that you use YouTube to share your videos because it allows me to pause, play and rewind as needed. Your patterns and finished product are beautiful and inspiring. The quiet background and mellow surroundings make it easier to stay focused and goal oriented. This lets me complete my project making it exciting to start new every time! I typically have trouble sticking with the same artistic goal with out starting a new, unassociated project to clutter my head and space with. This leaves me with multiple projects waiting to be finished in the distant future. I enjoy that the way you present your videos keep me into working on the same project until I’m finished. I tend to feel like I’m working on that project with a “friend” or instructor accomplishing the same goal. You have a nice, easy voice to follow. Your annunciation and timing in your delivery of instruction is enjoyable with out distracting. Thank you for sharing this traditional knot weaving that I’m excited to be learning about! 😊😊😊👍 ~Sheeara, Alaska

Tradução by Google
