What impressed me the most was the first missions of the game, and how they introduced you to the world/characters/mechanics, it was just so clean, convincing and smooth, by far the best start to and AC game ever

AC2 was the best but this is the first AC game that made me WANT to dick around doing side missions. So many things keep the atmosphere fresh: sea shanties, random storms, random battles between Spanish and British ships (sit back and watch), hunting sharks, taking down naval forts. Makes you feel like a bad ass.

I really wanna play an open seas pirate game where you start off as a kid that's run away from home or something and you can join a crew and take over later as the captain.

Trade goods with other cities and take over other ships to make more gold and choose to be good or evil.

Playing this game on PC right now and GOD!! This game is beautiful and action packed. It's enjoyable from the start. It's just so much better than Assassin's Creed III. Because the last one was so bad I pirated this, but I'll buy it anyways now! Imo this is GOTY 2013, I enjoy it more than I've enjoyed GTA 5.

Best Assassin's Creed game period! I don't care what anybody says! How the hell could anyone not like this game especially if they love pirates?! Just wish they would drop the whole Assassin's Creed name from the title and make Black Flag its own series. Buzz off trolls!

I would also advice people to turn off as much of the HUD as possible, especially the mini-map. I've noticed that i spend more time looking at that thing then at the game itself, the world becomes MUCH more immersive and you can still place markers or better yet, just check the map and walk in the right direction. If you turn everything off but SSI it's hard mode, turn off everything and you got hardcore mode, IMO fun as hell.

IDK, I thought Ac3 was pretty damn ambitious! I'd love to play this but I think I'll wait until I get a next gen console to buy this. Ac2 is still my favorite though. It was the first Assassins creed game I played, and its really stuck with me. I love the use of colors in this and locations and the sea warfare was my favorite part of Ac3. It looks like this is a game that HAS to be played! Cool!

As a kid I couldn't play assassin's creed since I was too young to play it and I waited so long to play it this is my first ac game it's amazing. I know about the past assassin's creed games and they were excellent when I saw the gameplay.

I guess with games costing more today, gamers would prefer making an informed decision before picking anything up. However, don't you think there are too many spoilt gamers these days? How bad/boring can this series get? I was addicted to Frogger, AlleyCat, Digger and Tetris and my jaws still drop seeing how far and advanced gaming's become. Calling Black Flag boring/bad is definitely a first world problem.
