YESSS.... Fiio FH7 is awesome. 5 songs in I can tell its very close to my LCD 2 signature. The detail, clarity, balance and soundstage is awesome.... Now I wish I don’t have to get the P1 but will order it to compare to FH7 and pick between the two. THANKS BGGAR for such a terrific recommendation. Money well spent.

Ok...going on 5 months since this review, where are the comparisons against these and the S8F, A8, etc? Don't mention comparisons if you're not going to follow through.

Is it a good idea to upgrade my Fiio FA7, wich are unnatural sounding for me, with a used pair of FH7? Or is that just a sidestep and i should take the money and buy some monarch II? I'm a bit out of money and the FH7 would fit my wallet better, but not if it is only sidestep. My main problem with the FA7 are the unnatural sounding vocals and the blunted (not so) kickbass.

Had a pair of RHA T20is for about 2 1/2 years now and the cable is starting to fall apart. Looking to make a major upgrade now, I really enjoyed the sound of the RHA but can't really analyse the specifics of why. Been looking at your Chi-Fi reviews and the S8F have stuck out to me due to your glowing review and the fantastic customisation options. I have a few questions based on that (also anybody else feel free to answer. Need all the help I can get!)

1. How easy are the S8F to drive? (My source is a Samsung Galaxy S9+. I do also have a custom made ipod classic which I haven't used in a little while but would it suffice?) As I would be using them on my commute daily as that's where most of my listening is done (5h train journey) and would not want to carry an amp. (I will eventually invest in one)

2. Are the S8F suitable for listening to Prog Metal/Edm/Rock (80% prog, 10% edm and 10% rock)

3. Do you have any other suggestions I should perhaps consider? I was looking at the Kanas Pro as well but decided to just go all out and get the best that I can afford with my budget. Which seems to be the S8F.

4. Did you get custom ear fitting made when you got your S8F or is it just the stock fitting? Wondering if that is necessary or not

Apologies for the wall of text, I'm pretty new to this hobby and trying to inform myself before I drop a ton of money on any IEMs. Thanks for your constant informative content and keep up the good work!

I know that most comparisons here are going to be with other Chi-Fi IEMs, but I'm very curious about what you think about the FH7 vs the Campfire Solaris in terms of audio quality. I'm sure that they're both very technically capable IEMs but if you had to choose one to listen to for a long period of time, which one would it be? (ignoring other factors like price etc.)

Blown away by your Fiio M11 comments and Fiio FH7 Review - recently you suggested I invest in a Sony ZX 300 and Sony buds for my travelling music companion, I've waited for your M11 comments before deciding on my DAP, which will be the M11 as it has internet connectivity, the Sony DAP does not. Still on the fence with regards earphones, aesthetically, the Sony buds suit my small head, alas, the FH7 combined with the M11 may be the journeyman gear I've waited for. Ginger Baker, oh yes, great music ( Cream Live I adore) so, should I go Sony buds and mix with Fiio, or, go all Fiio and get the 4.4 Balanced Cable, FH7 and M11, given it seems Fiio have done a great job matching these items?
For the record, here in Hong Kong I can get Lexar 512GB storage cards for US$65 each, so can up storage to 920GB at a reasonable cost - would need to go Sandisk route to get 1TB actual, but 920GB storage seems okay.
Hope you can feedback as want to get my DAP/Buds by late July and Fiio now does to be marking its stride!

I would like to add one more question. Did you end up removing the mesh for this like you did for the FH5? I don't think its removable for these tips but you never complained about sound dampening this time.

Really confused about the size of the DD and why reviews so far are saying it is really controlled and rolls off when supposed to... basically not much resonance? I guess they are balancing the sub bass, mid, and all the way to high bass to show a balanced presentation of overall bass, if that makes sense? Because the sub bass in the FH5 was beast, but I found that mid and high bass were a little lacking. So you’re saying that in songs that have bass present in some parts but the bass is not emphasized, the FH7 isn’t able to emphasize it with its oversized DD? It’s just confusing to

Edit: never mind you said at the end that the graph doesn’t explain the bass... so it sounds a lot like the bass in the Campfire Atlas, where is has that hum/resonance in songs that have bass but is not emphasized?

Basically what I’m trying to ask (point) is, is this IEM good for Basshead listeners that love great sounding bass while having that rumble? Cuz I love the quality, texture, natural hum/buzz, and amount of bass in the Campfire Atlas.

How is it with Q5s? Cause you've mentioned that between q5s and m11 you should take Q5s. Or i should wait for m11 pro cause THX there?
I know Q5s can have THX as well, but there would be only 4.4 without 2.5 and i have ie80 with Fiio 2.5 balanced cable and dont want to stick with bl-44 dongle.

Have you tried the ibasso IT04? Those are my daily drivers and have a similar driver config (3 BA, 1 Dynamic)
