It happened to me three weeks ago as well. I uploaded a video where I was building a turntable, and it was going viral with 100, 000 views in just a few hours. YouTube, as a "reward, " disabled it. Flatline until the 6th day after publication, then they put it back online. I don’t think it’s possible to make a video invisible because it was still visible, but the views weren’t counted. The video ended up with 137, 000 views in total. What can we do? NOTHING!

It seems to me that YouTube could spend a few CPU cycles doing totals on the trolls and ban them.

Honestly, YouTube is seriously fucked up and getting worse by the month. I'm yet to see an update that, as predominantly a content consumer, improves my experience. It is honestly a heap of shit and getting worse.

YouTube wants to be more advertiser friendly. Advertisers want videos that are viewed by as many people as possible. Mellow, uninteresting videos are very advertiser friendly, but not very interesting so people don't watch them. Controversial videos are not very advertiser friendly, but they draw a lot of viewers. The only way to solve this problem is to pick a side, if you try to balance you'll almost always choose the path of caution, fewer and fewer people will find the entertainment/education they are looking for from YouTube. Advertisement money goes down, and the cycle repeats.
It's not my company, and I'll still come here to figure out how to install a new cabin air filter in my jeep, watch Fran, AvE and a few others, but so many have left for their own adventures or other platforms simply to ease the stress of dealing with YouTube.

YouTube is just getting ridiculous. The ads have gone from a few seconds to TV commercial length. The censorship and cancellation of popular creators borders on criminal conspiracy. Someone like Elon Musk should create an alternative free expression media. Keep up the fight Fran. Your fans love you.
