"You can get up to 300fps in LoL but that's abit crazy so I limited it" REALLY DUDE?

I'll point out everything wrong with this build so you guys don't make the same mistakes
1. It doesn't matter what material the workbench is made out of, an anti-static mat is always a good idea. Not necessarily a must, but still good for peace of mind.
2. Those "tweezers" are actually zip ties. Tweezers are a gripping device that allows for precise placement or removal of tiny objects. Very useful in small electronics.
3. "A Swiss army knife that hopefully has a phillips head screwdriver". So, use an actual phillips head screwdriver.
4. That "Anti static bracelet" isn't an actual ASB. A real ASB has a wire with an alligator clip at the end that you attach to ground to discharge static electricity
5. Maybe I'm just being nitpicky, but the thing he called "the brace" is technically called the I/O Shield.
6. 2666 MHz for DDR4 isn't all that fast. Again, maybe I'm nitpicking to the extreme.
7. He placed the ram in the 2 slots next to each other. In a 4 slot motherboard, when installing only 2 modules, there's supposed to be an empty slot between them in order to get dual channel. Every motherboard is going to be different in this regard, so check the owner's manual to know for sure which slots are the right ones.
8. The slot you put the graphics card in does matter, at least in terms of performance. Most motherboards have 2-3 PCI-e slots that are physically 16x, but only one of them is electrically also 16x, while the others are electrically only 8x or even 4x. Putting a GPU in one of those slots will reduce performance. It's usually the topmost 16x sized slot that's also wired as 16x, but again, check your owner's manual to know for sure, as each MB is different. those other slots are meant for a multi-GPU setup, where you connect a cable between each one
9. Those "Insulating pads" are actually sound dampening pads to make it quieter. The metal case has no power, and is actually grounded, so that, if a hot wire contacts it, it causes power to shut off immediately to prevent damage or user injury.
10. The PSU is mounted backwards. You always want the fan blowing air towards the outside of the case so that the hot air goes outside.
11. No fans for the radiator on that AIO water cooler. You need fans to blow the across the radiator to dissipate the heat.
12. Nitpicking again, but, not all power supplies come with those cables in bags. Only partially modular and fully modular PSUs have them. Non-modular PSUs have every cable permanently attached.
13. You shouldn't get rid of that CPU slot cover that comes on LGA motherboards, at least, not until the warranty on the MB expires. This is because at least some motherboard manufacturers require you to put that back for RMA. IDK if every manufacturer does this, but I know for sure Asus does. If you try to RMA a motherboard without it, they will reject your RMA request. So save it in case the need to RMA arises.
14. Unless you're doing serious overclocking, the included thermal paste is sufficient enough.
15. If you are going to replace the thermal paste anyways, then, you need to actually, you know, remove the old paste. He didn't do that. This could actually be as thermally detrimental as no thermal paste at all.
16. The way he applied the new thermal paste is just sloppy.
Anyways, that's everything I spotted.

he called the zip ties tweezers and the IO shield a "BRACE"

I love how he sounds so confident in everything he does.

The "anti static bracelet" did it for me. I mean this absolutely has to be one of the greatest troll tutorials of all time. Theres no way this is real.

Jesus Christ that CPU installation is the literal opposite of what you’re supposed to do. The thermal paste application is just the icing on the processor.

This is a great example of how easy it is to build your own PC. Clearly he had no clue but still put it together and it booted up just fine. If his worked anyone that tries it can get a working computer.

Cringiest part? The time he holds up the CPU and says "yeah we got one" look man hexa core processors are not that rare hell you can get a r5 1600 for dirt cheap. I was facepalming and cringing so hard.

When he added the thermal paste to the CPU i thought i was watching MasterChef.

Protect yourself and your parts by wearing a rubber WWJD bracelet... while you hammer in the brace and handle the multiple brackets... wear it to avoid short-circuiting your power supply as you install it backwards.

Four RAM slots available and he puts two sticks in the middle!?

That's new.

At least his psu has enough watts to run raytracing with no upgrades needed.

Did anyone else notice how he installed the RAM in slots which would not give him the best performance? In addition, he thought 2666 was fast. Also, did he install that GPU into a 16x or an 8x? At least it looks nice.

We have adapted the Verge PC build video as "how to NOT" education material within our company.

You can build a gaming desktop for around a million but I'm gonna go all out with 20 million.

The real problem is that this was marketed as a "Guide" I'm using that term lightly as it has so many jump cuts it would be impossible to follow.

It’s a classic, will always be a good example of not believing everything you see on YouTube.

I've always heard about "the verge's awful" video but had never watched it's worse than I thought

Also the fact that he picked Yasuo says a lot about his mental abilities
