Sir i did not try this method but i will try my ploblem is opening Netflix I mean when I open Netflix so the app open and then when it show shows so it frezzes

you’re my last hope before i lose my mind. everytime i try to click on device preferences my tv freezes then kicks me out of settings. i don’t know what to do and i can’t find any videos on it. if anyone can help i’d greatly appreciate it

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I’m still having the same issue which is tv freezing. The only way I can unfreeze it is by unplugging it. I’ll unplug and then wait for 1-2 minutes. Is there anything else I can try so my tv won’t freeze on me? It freezes on me at any time whether I’m using an app or whether I’m on the homepage.

Question: I bought the Shield Pro a year ago. Everything was great until about six months in. One day video playback via VKC/MXPlayer/Nova Player became choppy or jerky - kinda like it's struggling with frame rate. It occurs with .mkv and .MP4, also regardless of the video but rate. I use both a 7200rpm USB 3 hard drive or a USB 3 thumb drive. It doesn't matter - still jerky. My OS is up to date and I've reinstalled the apps and even reset the entire Shield and started over. I still have the same issue. This issue does not occur with Netflix or Amazon streaming, however. I've also optimized the CPU/GPU settings along with maximum fan cooling. Anybody have any suggestions or fixes or has my system become a dud? A dud out of warranty, I might ad. Thanks!

Another thing I found is turn off video preview and audio preview for your home screen. It surprisingly/not surprisingly effective.
