It looks like more gas is shot back in your face with the muzzle break vs warcomp. I’ll stay with my warcomp

I talked to Surefire today (1-2-24)….they said in no way manner of form should the Warcomp ‘leak’ OR cause any negative effects IN COMPARISON to any of their other hosts when utilizing their suppressors (excluding the older RC1). The only concern would be additional carbon buildup long term (over 5k) rounds that would require cleaning maintenance at or near these intervals.

Wear gloves. I will continue using my warcomp.

A dirty hand doesn’t outweigh the performance and blast dispersion for the Warcomp. There’s a reason it’s one of the most purchased muzzle devices from Surefire.

I’d choose recoil mitigation over clean hands any day🙌🏼

They make soap, without suppressor warcomp beats most all other muzzle devices, in all areas.

Pretty good review my dude. Just to add a couple points from my experience;
1) Flash is fought with both the muzzle device and powder load. Cheap Tula, even out of an RC2, tends to throw some fire.
2) If you take your can off while it is still hot/warm, you can easily rub a rag over the WC and take most of the carbon off. Don't let the can cool on the muzzle and it's all money.
3) After running every SF mount out there...I do not spend money wisely...the WC with an RC2 seems to be the best all around. It has almost 0 flash with decent ammo, some reduced recoil, and the small bit of gas leak means less overall pressure in the system. Sasuga Surefire for making a gas regulated muzzle device! I run a HK 416 so gas is less of an issue for me, but it is still nice.

Remember, I am just one dude on the internet. My experiences are a sample size of one, take that into consideration when buying $150 muzzle devices!! My advice, just turn on the vanilla tag and buy a 3 prong.

Good job showing us this. I wouldn't go as far as saying "never use". I would say the Warcomp is a good choice, but it should be known it has leaks with a suppressor. Shooting the Warcomp suppressed during the winter at night must be challenging.

Great video! I honestly didn't notice an issue shooting suppressed with my URGI 14.5 with a 3 prong WARCOMP, but I also wasn't paying close attention and was wearing peltors.

Looks like that 14.5 is under gassed, that bolt didn’t have enough juice to lock back, that may be why you notice such a dramatic difference

Now where did you buy one glove 😂😂 just kidding. I had this happen so I started wearing my gloves. Great video

Appreciate pointing this out, but I'd say "never" is a bit strong. The point of a hybrid is to cover as many bases as possible. As you say, not the best at any one thing, but not as "bad" at anything as any of the other surefire mounts (which all suck at something. e.g, the comp sucks at flash hiding. The flash hiders are do nothing for muzzle control). The Warcomp doesn't appear to be the best at gas seal either. Add it to the equation and decide what it best for the situation. If you only run suppressed, not the best choice. If you mix it up between guns, they may be a good choice.

BTW, I'd call surefire and see what they have to say.

Good video. Had I known this years ago I would’ve went ahead with the 3 prong instead of the warcomp. I ended up switching to a 3 prong after having gotten my RC2 for the same reason.

I understand your labyrinth seal argument for the brake and I like the brake, but if you’re someone who’s not going to run a can all the time the warcomp is the best general purpose muzzle device on the market. The seals don’t always prevent the suppressor lock, I regularly break off cans from 4 prong flash hiders. As far as prolonging your can life I understand it but you will never shoot out a Surefire can. If you’re going to run suppressed all the time then yes run a brake

I got a war comp, didn't buy it for the suppressor but for the compensator part, also you clocked the war comp down. Its supposed to go in the up position.

Looking at the warcomp and the warden I dont mind the carbon coming out but do you think it will have an negative effects on the gun or shooting or just a bit more carbon to clean up?

I think it's the brake holes on the side of the warcomp that the most of the gas is getting through, I think even if the warcomp had those etched rings that the holes would make them pointless anyway (which is probably why it doesnt have them)

I typically run 4 prong’s on everything but I’ve had carbon lock more times on my 4 prongs than my warcomp doesn’t really make a difference to me

I am about to buy my first suppressor and after watching reviews on the new RC3 I found that if you use it with a three prong over the break you don't get a large fire ball. My question is does this have the same effect with the RC2? (rc2 is what I am going to buy) So could you do this same test here at night or dusk. Thank you for answering the sound question I had between the two. I knew there had to be a difference but no one ever did a video on it I have ever seen.
