Hello everyone! Here's a not so brief comparison of Toddlers from the 3 latest Sims Base Games

I know I'm kinda late to the whole toddler hype but anyways, here it is. I've compared the most important aspects I think, which is aging, skills, needs, interaction, going out and taken away by the social worker.

Its been a month since their release and for the first weeks it seemed the only thing every simmer was talking about and many were asking for this comparison so I thought..let's give it a shot! I know I must've skipped something, I didn't go deep into the skills because well, the video is long enough already. I got to play with toddlers and did my research but in Sims 4 toddlers is a lot to cover in less than 20 minutes so again, my apologies if I left something important out.

I gotta give it to them, they put a lot of detail into toddlers this time.

Something worth mentioning is about how emotions work for toddlers, I couldn't find a way to fit it in here but the things that change their mood are silly, like being hungry will make them angry, having a nightmare will make them sad, having their way will make them happy..I don't know how to call that but I love it!

As always, don't forget to vote for your favorite!

My opinion?
Sims 2: Is the first Sims to include toddlers and they gave a pretty solid base, I like the fact that their skills stay with them and that those skills can be mastered even to level 10, I also love the fighting for the bottle interaction and how the social worker takes them away (well, not that I like them being taken away but you know)

Sims 3: Was just a copy of Sims 2, I lost count of how many times I mentioned "Same for Sims 3" I understand life mode wasn't Sims 3 strongest side so it's logical that it's my least favorite for toddlers I guess. Only thing I liked was being able to read to toddlers and the fact that your Sim can take them to lots unlike Sims 2.

Sims 4: Okay, this time, for me, Sims 4 totally nailed it. They not only made the toddlers cuter and have more interactions than the others but little details like silly things affecting their emotions is something that really gives a toddler "life", my only complain would be that they babble a lot the same nonsense but oh well...

That's just my opinion, please share yours in the comment section.

You forgot to say that toddlers in sims 4 when they have a nightmare they go to the parents' room and cry until they're awake

So many toddlers in sims 2 got taken away because they couldnt use the stairs to get food and the nanny was just downstairs watching tv *sigh*

The running animations of toddlers is arguably one of the most cutest things in the sims 4 .

I have to admit, the sims 4’s version of toddlers feels, acts and looks more realistic than the previous three games. Albeit with their babbling, animations, tantrums and interactions are actually more similar to that of a real life toddler.

Like how they throw tantrums and them reaching stuff over the counter. Also their interaction with other adults and toddlers are also very childish and toddler-like, since they are supposed to be toddlers.

Overall I think the sims 4’s depiction of toddlers easily trumps over its predecessors in terms of realism.

I'm so happy toddlers in TS4 can climb and go down the stairs. That used to drive me crazy that toddlers were restricted to one floor without an adult's help!

Side note: I really wish they brought cutscenes back in Sims 4. They made moments feel more special/interesting to me

I really like Sims 3 for a lot of reasons, but Sims 4 does have the cutest toddlers.

15:02 The scene was sad, the mom was crying and then, suddenly, a wild "ayyyy" appeared.

I remembered in Sims 3 when I had a family with 2 children and one of them died. Time passed and the ghost ask to her brother to take her into bed and read her a book

I do love how much effort they put into the toddlers in 4. I do wish they'd add a stroller though. It would be real cute.

In hindsight, I’m honestly glad that the Sims 4 delayed the release of the toddlers. They are by far the best of the series. They are just so cute and a bit more realistic, in my opinion.

This is one of those rare circumstances where TS4 actually "does it better" than 2 or 3.

Sims 4 toddlers are like highly intelligent midgets, and I'm LIVING FOR IT.

Something else worth mentioning about toddler’s nightmares in TS4 is that they won’t be able to go back to bed until they’re comforted by an older sim, and will try to wake up an older sim after they’ve had a nightmare.

I played a lot of sims 3 in high school and never noticed how weird the sims look until playing sims 4.

Say what you want about Sims 4, but you can't deny that they have the best toddlers.
