It's not just that this song goes HARD, and it's not just that this was probably the best live show the GOTY will EVER witness, but it's the fact that Poet of the Fall as we know it probably only exists because one day this funny looking "Sam Lake" guy decided to have these almost unknown folks write a song for Max Payne 2, and it worked so damn well that in his next game he gave these same guys the role of writing the song that not only decides the fate of the protagonist, but is also so iconic they to came back almost a decade later with what will probably be the MOST HISTORIC musical piece in a video game.

Poets of the Fall would not exist if it wasn't for Sam Lake, and Alan Wake would not be the same if Sam gave a job to anyone else. I mean, have you already thanked Finland for giving us these guys today? And dont get me started on the choice of Alan's actor and VA.
