Southwest Flight Attendant Calms Fussy Baby

It's a flight attendant to the rescue. A 19-month-old baby was feeling a little fussy on a flight from Austin, Texas, to Las Vegas, so a Southwest Airlines flight attendant scooped up the little girl and took her down the aisle, greeting passengers. The tot loved her new role and blew lots of kisses, while her grateful mom filmed the whole thing to show how the flight attendant had gone above and beyond the call of duty. #InsideEdition

Ten years ago I decided to return home for a month with my then 9 month old. I was alone and traveling for the first time with a baby. It was pretty hard but thankfully a very kind flight attendant did the very same thing.

She took him from me and told me to get some rest and he stayed with her and her crew for the remainder of the flight. He was with them serving and helping...well you know what I mean...lol

I never got her name but that hour of sleep was the longest I had had in a when I woke up she said he's fine he's happy and everyone loves him just relax.

That was the most generous thing anyone ever did for me. Being a new mom and traveling alone was already a big deal, not knowing how he would react on the plane was also a big worry.

So when I see this story it makes my heart smile. I've had nothing but positive experiences with flight attendants and my son.

God bless that flight attendant. Other passengers love to give parents a hard time when their kids won't stop crying. Instead of adding to her stress she helped her. Something we can all learn from.this lady!

My philosophy when flying on an airplane is this: if I'm sitting next to a parent with a baby/toddler, I will do EVERYTHING in my power to befriend the parent and keep that child entertained! For the greater good of everyone on the flight, it is a sacrifice I'm willing to make in order to keep our collective sanity intact!

When my son was 11 months we flew to Hawaii from Texas. The flight attendants were amazing and helped us settle down. We all had a good laugh when they announced “Little Jack will be flying home on December 29th just in case you want to change your flight to a different day” 😂

The baby was receiving flight attendant/customer service training first hand. She commences work the following week. Her main skill is blowing kisses.
