Hope, the 4 tonne blue whale hangs from the ceiling of the Natural History Museum in London. Until now, her life was a mystery. While the 25-metre long blue whale skeleton is inspected regularly for damage and faults, parts of her filter mechanism are locked away. Now, they are being examined to reveal the life story of Hope the whale.
