Reddit aka the Minecraft Community has reacted to the Minecraft Mob Vote of the Sniffer, Tuff Golem and the Rascal. The community came up with the sniffer's lore, showing more features and concepts of the Sniffer, Tuff Golem and the Rascal.

More, the community has their own theories on who should be voted into Minecraft...

Even if the ancient plants doesn’t have use when he gets added, he adds the opportunity of new ways to add plants and also excuses to some more interesting or bigger plants, and maybe the plants do get use in the future but they don’t state it as a idea rn because it could end up ringing everything and the other mobs getting way lesser votes than they deserve

Imagine minecraft makes a time portal taking u to the past where the buffer fish and sniffer are just naturally around plus shipwrecks and other ruins are normal now

It would be so cool if the ancient city portal is like a time portal and it takes you back to like a dimension with older biomes or something

He forgot that plants can be used for redstone builds(placeholder for items/ or if they emit a light source like brown mushrooms = slime farm) and also plants always get a use(multiple plants) when it comes to building/design. So multiple plants(whether land or sea) could get interesting for many builders like me when figuring out how it looks.. tbh I think ancient plats are usually bigger and more colorful as far as I know and they would look good for overgrown/Fantasy or ancient builds but probably also modern builds(rip all the Resource pack devs that have to make a interpretation of all new added ancient plants).

Yes, the eyes are behind the beak(also two dots). Most fitting for archeology out of the three Mobs so far(Jeb did confirm it has ancient knowledge to share while the others hat no "ancient" or "prehistoric" hints.

Rascal however only gives mining tools according to the website(shovel.. pickaxe.. torches?.. that's it? You find notch apples or diamonds from mineshaft chests which is a lot easier to find and also more safe/promising especially in end game). I probably will visit in endgame only mines for notch apples in first place(Hardcore world).

also they said the Tuff Golem moves randomly so I doubt you can control the movement cycle or direction... It's interesting because every Golem has a "random" mechanic so far. Random button clicking or random movements... Mojang needs to make the Golems more appealing tho.. it doesn't feels like they're even trying.. at least the copper Golem added new buttons and more in general.

Learning that the Sniffers plants will have no function is sad. I was kind of hoping for the possibility of new potions. Not necessarily new potion effects, but we could at least get potions for effects like blindness and nausea.

Why the Sniffer outshines the competition so far from a logical point of view(imo.. unfortunately the other mobs lack a lot proof and confirmation about a lot topics):

-Confirmed lore(Jeb: "They look like they have knowledge to share" most recent channel video from Minecraft) you can see resemblance with the fossils in the game so far.

-It's the closest thing to a ancient Dinosaur 🦕 that we can get in Minecraft. We Literally get the chance to bring a extinct mob back to life. It's a super interesting mechanic to manually bring a Mob back into the overworld that normally isn't spawning Naturally.

- It brings multiple ancient plants for decorational purpose yes = many new Ancient plants for the Sea and for the Overworld in general. Super useful for builders/architects that want to build Something new for bases, structures or parks/gardens. More stuff to build and decorate with.

-these plants may even bring special use for some Redstone builds when the shape of the plant or emitted light level fits for a build.

- The Sniffer adds new functionality for the ocean ruins = you have to find it's egg and also hatch it.

-It can be used as a infinity bone meal farm(it digs up infinity seeds that get send trough hoppers into composters = infinity bone meal farm

- Its super tall, it would be the tallest passive mob in the whole game and has a unique and creative design that fits perfectly for Minecraft. It has multiple growth stages(egg->baby->adult) and probably can even be breed? (Like a normal mob / keep it like a pet)

These are all the things THAT ARE confirmed so far and many more things probably come in the future with this mob. That's why it has the most potential so far and most usefulness.

Also yeah, there won't be food(unless you get meat from the Sniffer) from the plant(no crops) or other conspiracies. They are made up by people.. but look again at all the things I said earlier. That's why it's the nost useful one so far... Hell.. it might be even the most useful mob ever released in all mob votes so far if it wins. I am Team Sniffer 🦕

The various decorative tuff golem is from a server named origin realms (they made all of them and so many other cool features just using server settings and a texture pack so no pesky mods or resource packs)
