I like how Gul Sher Khan mentions his culture has a similar dish of tomatoes, onions, and coriander. Pico De Gallo is very versatile and very tasty too. Pico De Gallo is Spanish for Rooster's Beak.

I'm always impressed with Mr Chaudhury's understanding of food. Many of the ingredients he mentioned are used in salsas like this one, here in the American southwest. Mango salsa is particularly good.

I've noticed, unsurprisingly, how similar if not almost identical many Mexican dishes are to many Middle-eastern, North African, Central-Asian and Mediterranean dishes. Beans, rice, salad, meat, and spices all eaten with a type of flatbread. 😁
