The Olympics are trying to fight for the trademark rights to “get the gold”? They absolutely should lose on that fact alone.

Fun fact: “gold” medals are handed out in things that aren’t the Olympics. Some probably are actually gold. For most of the world, 1st place is “gold”, second place is “silver”, and third place is “bronze”.

And yes, their case probably has merit, but they are clearly overstepping with trying to trademark “get the gold”, and thus should get NOTHING, to teach everyone else to not overstep.
