Clonazepam is a long acting benzo as alprazolam is a fast acting benzo. Klonopin takes a little longer on the onset but has a much longer half life as to where alprazolam is very quick onset and a short range of half life. Klonopin is good for generalized anxiety disorders as Xanax works better for panic disorders. Be very specific with your doctor about your anxiety symptoms as they can be treated properly with the right medication and the right dose.

Similar side effects, good for helping you sleep in, alprazolam tastes horrible compared to clonazepam, clonazepam barely has any taste, not much difference in strength between the 2, clonazepam just knocks you around for abit longer

If I've been taking alprazolam can I just switch over to clonazepam or do I need to wait for it to leave the system before starting?
