Apple iPhone X: 3 months later (Apple Byte)

This reminds me, I hear a lot of people complain that they have to lean over the phone to unlock with Face ID when the phone is on a table, instead of just pressing the fingerprint sensor like the old days (people like Clickbait Therapy bitched about this as a reason not to get the X). So I’m curious how people unlock the Galaxy and Pixel phones that are laying on the table when the sensor is on the back of the phone.

If somebody tells me that the answer is to use the passcode on those phones, then what the hell is stopping someone from using the passcode on the X as well(or, you know, just leaning over slightly to unlock it with your face, which you can’t even do with those phones)?

How is this being treated like a deal breaker only for the iPhone and not the others?

Dude, it's so nice to come back after years and see that you're still being balanced about Apple and not biased. I haven't watched this since the time of the Apple Maps fiasco in 2012, when I was still in school. I didn't leave for any particular reason, I just sort of lost interest in tech. But there's a great sort of nostalgia that comes with seeing you giving your honest opinions on the latest and greatest Apple products. I'll be sticking around for sure. Thanks Brian!

Why pay $1000 for a phone that is still in the alpha stages? I would say iPhone 7 is probably the best value iPhone out right now. I guess it's very subjective, but $1000 for a phone that doesn't have many features and a deal breaker face ID that does work all the time is a no go.
