Best city I've ever visited in Europe was Krakow. It just felt right.

I worked at Kowalski sausage company in Hamtramck Michigan in my youth and when the hams and sausages came out of the smokers you could not help but get hungry. Most of the people who worked there were from Poland or from Polish families that lived here already. Great food and great people.

I live in Japan and have visited Gliwise, Poland five times in the last ten years. I've been to Krakow four times and this kind of market is very memorable. I remember the smell of roasting meat and sausage smokers just by passing by. There were many kinds of dishes, but I regret that I could not try them all. It was impressive that the Polish people were very kind to the Japanese, perhaps because of the Polish orphan episode 100 years ago. During my stay in Poland, I always wore the cross flag badge of the Polish flag and the Japanese flag. I always want to visit Poland again and again.

I remember going too a wedding in south Poland a few years back and the food was off the charts. It was one beautiful dish after another, I’ve never eaten so much food at a wedding before. The meat and pork dishes were beautiful😋
