💈 Relax & Unwind With Hot Lather Shave In Korean Barber Shop Haven | HERR Barbershop

Our first stop in Seoul, South Korea was Herr Barbershop to relax and unwind with a hot lather shave. Opened in 2013, and inspired by the barbershops of New York City, the flagship store we visited is a wonderfully elegant and relaxing haven for men’s grooming.

"HERR hopes to create an environment for men wanting to release their dapper potential that was less sterile than a unisex salon but still used highly skilled stylists to deliver the finest and latest haircuts."

We filmed with Senior Barber Hwan Seo who has been working at HERR Barbershop for six years. Prior to Herr Barbershop, Hwan worked 8 years in a salon. Hwan began working in the industry at 25 after completing his military service. First studying at a liberal arts college but later switching his career goals to barbering.

Hwan wanted something to do for the rest of his life . . . and that was barbering.

Hwan’s desire is to work with integrity, and he hopes all customers can feel this when sitting in his chair for a haircut or shave. Assisting is Junior Barber Jisang Yoo aka Jay. Jisang has been working at HERR for a little over a year. When asked what he likes about HERR Barbershop, Jisang says it is the atmosphere, cozy feeling inside the shop, as well as all the nice smells!

Jisang told us it does not matter what your job or career field is, it is important to find a good mentor and then go for it. Another great reason why he loves working at HERR Barbershop!

This barber was incredibly precise and meticulous in shaving. I love how he closes the razor and puts it down every time he adds more shaving cream or makes an adjustment. Very professional.

I loved the atmosphere of this shop. The decor, the lighting, the wooden floor with the occasional creaky floor board, the glass bottles on the tray clanking together, the smooth hands of the barber and his meticulously manicured nails, the sounds of the lather and shave……SO relaxing!

This guys knows his shit, he checked the surface of the skin for bumps and abnormalities before shaving. A practice that not many people do that should be a must do.

I like watching videos with Harry. My grandfather was a barber, as a child I watched him shave and cut his customers, sharpen the razor on the belt, he was careful and meticulous. Many of Harry's barbers remind me of my grandfather.

Fantastic shave and service at HERR Barbershop, Senior Barber, Hwan Seo is a master at his craft. I also enjoy watching your videos getting shaved in different parts of the world. To me, this is the best shave I have seen on your channel. I loved my time in South Korea, great people, 1959/60, was stationed in Pusan @ US Army Camp Hialeah with the 142nd QM BN. I would get biweekly haircuts in Pusan, with same barber for my 13 months tour. The shop was not very plush, but the barber did a great job and I received a short massage at the end.
