listening to this made think of a really sad thought. you can hear marina's voice just fine, but pearls voice sound kinda ghostly. it's almost like pearls gone and marina's singing alone, but you can still hear pearl faintly, as if she's still there, standing by her side.

This makes me think of the first time Pearl heard the song, so intruiged by the girl's lyrics and songwriting skills she can't help but sing along a bit as she types up an email inviting this "Marina" down to Pearl's recording studio

That picture at the end gave me a strange feeling that Marina has some darker secrets than we all already know of (like how she designed weapons for the octarian army, not to mention the great octoweapons). I also feel like splatoon 3 is gonna have a lot more lore and is gonna be more dark than splatoon 1 and two

Maybe, this was Marinas first song and since pearl was interested into it she was singing quietly in the background and later Pearl told her about the lyrics and they made it into a song
