But still, nuclear submarines are noticeably superior to their diesel-electric counterparts in terms of their technical characteristics. Seems like an overly pessimistic scenario against the US Taiwan. More likely every Chicom missiles and aircraft position and vector will be tracked by Taiwan and US satellite/aerial surveillance and ground systems shared mutually in real time. We know their position and vector more accurately and faster than they do every time a missile or aircraft takes off. This includes their pilot and ground control. Also Chicom aircraft consumes too much fuel in combat conditions. Near the Straits middle they have to return to base . The ships have no cover and become liabilities. Their subs have another dilemma. The Straits are shallow and their radars are unreliable. They recently grounded one of those subs. A common problem for Chicom is the unreliable engine which overheats and seizes up under battle conditions. What do you think will happen?

Most likely Taiwan can annihilate the first and second waves all by themselves relying on us for info and supplies. Maybe some air support for safety. Japanese support is pretty much guaranteed. There not going to be a third wave, probably not a second wave. This invasion is a lot tougher than Ukraine.
