Hi Claudia, considering the short time you’ll live there, the nicest decoration will be books, some nice towers of books or shelves full of books and a nice cup of tea with the current book on the cute table with a wild flower or a twig in the vase from your last little walk...cosy tea time with Claudia📖☕️🥀

So much potential and I am excited for you to settle in and create your reading corner. I don't have any decoration suggestions or advice, but I love that you want to do a paint color accent wall or even wallpaper. I think either of those will really liven up and customize your room. Hope the chair you choose is super comfy. That furry ottoman is great!

You could paint both walls a dark green, and as long as you have good lighting, and the other things were of a lighter color, it won't look like a big dark shadow on camera. Dark green walls with rich reds and browns and a few touches of brighter colors always give me a luxurious library vibe, which I love. I like the idea of some sort of pattern on one of the walls behind you, and a painting on the other wall. Maybe you could find a secondhand, old, Turkish-style or 19th century-style rug, and hang it on one of the walls? You could get some hooks that screw into the wall, and then add some loops made of ribbon or twill tape to the back of the rug, that way you wouldn't damage the rug and you can put it on the floor in your next place if you want. And a nice-looking fake plant in that area would be less trouble than a real one, where you'd have to move it into the sun and then back into the corner when you want to film, and deal with potential issues with water leaking from the container.

Two ideas for decorating in a temporary manner: tapestries that you can hang with Command hangers/magnets. They won't damage the wall and you can dissemble easily. The other idea is temporary wallpaper (either solid or patterned design) that can be removed. If you do paint, try for a lighter color that will be easier to cover later by your landlord. I like the idea of a solid color on the right hand side of the chair and a pattern on the left.

Yes to the dark green wall! I think it will be very atmospheric with the side table, you could definitely add some beautiful art to compliment that style!

Hi Claudia. Moving as hell and I know because I’ve moved enough times to realize that. I’m not a big fan of wallpaper because it reminds me of the apartments in the 50s in New York where are the wallpaper peeled off and looked cheap. I’m sure it’s improved by Now But it’s still paper. I would paint it. I just painted my bedroom a beautiful gray That changes with the light. We do have a lot of light in Hawaii and at night it looks almost violet. Congratulations on your move. Aloha

Congrats on the new place! I like the idea of paintings so you can move them around and also replace them from thrift shops. I want to be able to see your hair. It’s so pretty. I actually like a minimalish space-not cluttered looking! Maybe move your camera closer? What do I know?
