“Just go to hell for heavens sake” I feel like this line alone summarizes Yamatos feelings about Kaido in this battle, Kaido for all her life was this monstrous father that tried to control her life and bound her in shackles under threat to her life when he learned he couldn’t get her to just willingly bend knee to his desires. Yamato endured even though she was a prisoner in all but name, waiting for the day oden’s prophecy was fulfilled, and with ace’s arrival she learned of the one that would truly accomplish that prophecy even though it was still too early. When Luffy went down and fell from the island she understood he would come back to finish the fight and so she took up the mantle and stood her ground against Kaido, against the most awful and powerful person she has known all her life, all for the sake of wano’s liberation.
