This video is about how physical exercise can help to prevent and/or delay the onset of dementia.

I’m Dr. Marc, a board certified internist and geriatrician in Louisville, Kentucky. I’m asked so many questions about memory, dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease all the time by friends, co-workers, family and sometimes strangers when they find out what I do for a living. How dementia is diagnosed, treated, how it can be avoided or delayed, how to care for a loved one who has memory issues, what new technologies can help, and many more. Thanks for watching, for subscribing, and for caring about dementia and those who endure it every day.

I had a stroke ten years ago followed with dementia. I had to struggle very hard to gain back my physical and mental abilities in the two years following that. I went through doctor consultation and physiotherapy but it does not fully help. I had to think how to regain the use of my left arm as I was only taught exercises for my legs but none for arms. I eventually decided to strengthen my arms by slanting myself and holding my arms on my grilles. Eventually I regain my arms and legs strength and is fully normal.ypu need to risk certainly dangerous execise to strengthen the muscle s on the arm and legs. It can be dangerous . I happy that I am back to normal and is able to care for my cars and dogs.
