I wish I had found this when I was young, before I learned this lesson the hard way. My thanks to both of you. 🙏🏻 ✝

Having spent a lot of my first decades in confusion about God, the meaning of life, our purpose or reason for being, let's call it "charismatic, Pentecostal confusion due to early exposure", trying to make sense of things, I can say 100% that I have finally found answers to all of my existential angst and fear and EVERY DAY now I have peace with God, as I walk daily in repentance and pick up my cross to follow the Lord Jesus. Through God's written word, fellowship with other believers, living a quiet life, it is more than enough. Our Lord is rich in mercy and kindness. Thank you for this video. 🧡🙏

Thank you for this message! Being a first time mom and now stay at home mom/wife, this was reassurance of my calling. I can bring God glory when I clean the house and change tons of diapers a day. It is easy to get overwhelmed and even frustrated with always having to clean up but this really reminded me to put things in perspective: God has called me to do this great work and it brings him glory. My husband and daughter are my neighbor and I am to to serve and love them. I will be reminding myself of this daily. Thank you again!

Interesting video. I recently retired from a 44 year nursing career. I was not the little girl that dreamed of becoming a nurse but quite the opposite. Being born to a now late mother who became both physically and mentally ill in my early childhood, I spent much of my pre school days accompanying my mother from one doctor appointment to another as well as in hospitals since my mother as well as her mother were frequently hospitalized. Needless to say when the time came to choose a profession I wanted no.part of anything to do with healthcare but God had other plans for me. Late in my senior year of HS I began to consider nursing as a profession and the rest is history. In reflecting back, God prepared me for a nursing profession by being born to a sick mother, and although I very much as a child resented God for allowing my mother and well as the family to suffer greatly as a result of her sicknesses, having this experience I developed a compassionate heart for the sick because I was a 1st hand witness to my own mother's suffering. But I will admit nursing did not totally define me, because I share my heart also with a love of art and travel, and I was able to pursue both all while working in nursing . And this was very important to be able see and create beauty especially when my nursing profession saturated me so much with witnessing the trauma and tragedy of others which drove me to tears on many occasions especially the 1st 22 years of my career being spent working in the ER. I am enjoying retirement, but know God has another assignment for me and it will unfold in His perfect timing.

This was a great video. Thank you for sharing this. It is truly helpful as a christian to understand these things, so we don't allow people to but unnecessary burdens on us. :)

That was a great interview. I've never heard it explained quite like that and it was so clear and easy to understand, the blessedness of seeing good works in that light and how it does relieve burdens not put burdens on you, Jesus said, my burden is light, and these other Mega pastors that tell people to search and pray and dig and do whatever you can to find your calling so you can go out and do something great is nothing more than the devil Throne quicksand in front of Believers, thank you for your video, excellent job Daniel. PS, Tell Robin we missed her.

The Lord has a perfect plan for my life: to regenerate me, sanctify me, reform and conform me to the image of Christ, to present me as pure and holy having been imputed the righteousness of Christ Jesus before the Father.

Seems like everybody is searching for the will of God in their life

What a great interview! I’ve already shared it with someone in one of the groups I’m in on Facebook. He’s been struggling with what to do with his life. He’s not sure if he’s supposed to be a pilot or do something else.

I wonder if God puts a dream into every believer if he's faithful and just to see to it, it gets carried out. To God be the glory!!!

Here is my testimony of God's calling in my job. Sorry that it's a bit long. I was always very shy, as a kid and also as an adult, to the point that I was filled with anxiety if I had to call somewhere to order food. Today, I am 39 years old and second in charge of the entire department of Housekeeping in a prestigious hotel. I don't even know how I ended up there. If you told when I was younger that one day, I would work in a position where I had to attend meetings with other department heads and directors, make public speeches, make decisions which impact an entire group of people, have a hotel depend on me to give its guests clean rooms and serve their guests, I would have not believed any of this possible. I didn't think I could ever be capable of those things, that is was for better people. My boss will retire next year and I will be the head of the department. I can't even believe that little me has so many responsabilities and that I can do them. Today I know that God has brought me there. It was not a voice or anything like that, but through all the circumstances of my life, I was brought there. I can see how God used this job to shape me in the person I am today. At first, I was making rash decisions, I was being hard and severe, asking a lot from others, I got easily angry and the stress and pressure of the job was eating me alive. I really hated that job, but I needed the money to live. As time went by and I was reading the Bible, things got clearer and I could see the kind of people God was calling us believer to be in the world. I started to apply Scriptures in my everyday life at work, trying to be patient and loving, compassionate, not easily angered, but trying to love others even in difficult situations, when others would vent the pressure and the stress of the job on me. I was praying a lot, I started seeing my employees as actual people like me, with their struggles, and that they depend on me to be there and do my job. I made it my mission to persevere as much as I could in becoming the kind of person God calls us to be, with prayer and repentance, with effort and dilligence. From a shy little kid, I am now a leader with authority and respected by my peers. It's truly the work of God! I wanted to run away from this job so many times, but as much as I tried, nothing worked. I even quit in my first year! But God didn't let me leave. I sometimes felt God was keeping me there and I could try to run away as much as I wanted, but he would not let me. Things have been difficult and I thought that if I could just find a better, easier job, I would be happy. But I understood with time that was not God's way. He shapes us through trials and tribulations. I also have seen so much similarities in the ways my employees act towards me, and the ways we all act towards God. For example, I will ask an employee to do a task and he does it his own way instead of just listening, and then it ends up creating a problem because he refused to simply do what was asked of him. Well, I saw in those situations that I do the same with God. Instead of just doing what he asks of me I have to go and do things my own way. I am truly thankful and this job has made me closer to God and a better, more fruitful Christian. I hope this helps someone who is struggling in a job they don't like that much, to realize that maybe it's not the job. Maybe God is calling you to be fruitful and to serve him right where you are.

This is a conversation I've been waiting to hear for a long time! It's usually only taken seriously by Catholics but it applies to all of us though perhaps I'm just so used to hearing every other charismatic refer to it as their 'ministry'! I do love the way the Catholic church prays for vocations as part of the Mass - the Protestant church could learn from that - especially in these days where churches across our land are closing for lack of qualified pastoral leadership and theology departments are closing in most of our universities here in Scotland.
