A lot of new players struggle with beating counter abuse, and who can blame them? There's a lot of different types in the game and lots of exceptions to the "rules". Still, learning the basics of how counters work go a long way towards neutralizing them, and that's what we're focusing on in today's breakdown.

Might wanna point out Geese's parry as an exception to elbows, headbutts, jumping attacks, knees, etc.

2:04 note that there is literally no downside to buffering a chicken everytime you do a move, so generic parries are actually pretty terrible in that regard since the moment your opponent sees your character they can just buffer a chicken 24/7 in neutral without a downside... (intrestingly, Feng Wei's reversal is not generic in that it can only reverse punches but cannot be chickened to compensate)
