An Essential Tool for Roofing Professionals

The Pitch Hopper is an innovative roofing tool developed in the United States to enhance safety and stability for workers on steep roof surfaces. Equipped with a unique foam base, it grips securely without causing any damage to the roof, making it adaptable to a variety of slopes. This tool not only supports safer working conditions but also adds comfort, keeping roofers satisfied as they work. While it simplifies staying on the roof, using a harness is still essential.

I worked as a roofer for three years, almost took some bad falls a couple of times. When my boss bought a couple of these for the crew, it was awesome. They work crazy good.

I have 5 of them, yes you have to be centered but they do work. I do a lot of steep roofs and after the ropes come off (after caps installed) I use them to get down. I use them to hold tools the radio etc etc. I love them

Been using them for 10 years now and can tell you it saved me setting up a lot of scaffolding and the work was faster. But you do gotta get used to trusting them.

Wish we had that years ago. Instead of me getting injured having surgery and learning to walk again within a year. I did it. And still have issues today but can walk . Thank god .

I’ll be honest, I am not a roofer but I bought a couple of these just to sit on and hang out. I use one to sit on and the other to put a cooler or some food. Usually just to hang out and watch the sunset after a long day 🤘🏽

This increases the coefficient of static friction tremendously. Compare the size of your foot with the area of this tool and its tenfold. Great idea.

During my summer break in college, years ago, I worked for a roofing company. We mostly did jobs other roofers didn't want. Old farm houses with 4 or more layers of shingles. No harness. We just did our job and took our time. Fortunately, I survived it. Lol. The pay was good especially for a summer job. I have a lot of respect for roofers. That Pitch Hopper looks like a great invention.

The foam from an old couch cushion works amazing... I have no knowledge of this product. But I know the old 30inch by 30inch by 6imch thick foam cushion I got for free works AMAZING

As someone from Europe under a heavy clay tiles roof, my mind is always blown by how cheap and flimsy those roofs in USA look. But that's the case with drywalls too. And yet, somehow your houses cost millions! It's just so interesting.

Being a Firefighter this is a product that should be integrated into the fire service for venting roofs!

Couch cushions was our go to. Everytime we'd see a couch on the road, upgrade!

I love that you said "...but keep in mind to use a harness". Nice one though.

I am so happy to see something like this. Minimal setup and takedown and looks very effective.

These look like they would be a great help! I've never fell off a roof but came real close, we just got up on my Brother in laws roof, hadn't roped/harnessed up yet and he started sliding down, he grabbed my leg so we were both headed toward the edge on his 2 1/2 story house. I grabbed my hammer and used the emergency brake- hammer claw through the plywood. Plywood is much cheaper than hospital bills!
