Australians put up some videos on the way you guys do it down under. It will help shut everyone up.
Plus it's also great to see different techniques. I have learned some great ones on putting up fence. Since I retired and decided to raise hogs with my lambs.

The wind is going to blow those panels off. You didn't slap the roof and say "that ain't going nowhere"!

I always pre drill my panels because the screw don't always cut the bur like it's supposed to. That bur cuts the rubber gasket on the washer if it's still attached when the washer lands against the panel. Leaking screws has cost me to go back and replace some screws on a couple jobs when I first started. I haven't had any leaking screws after I started pre drilling. Hundreds of different jobs per year for 20+ years and everything good, no problems....

I think it depends on the climate you build in. In the north US we have a lot of snow that needs to be shoveled off. Screws on the ridge would get hit with the shovel. All most all metal roofs here are screwed in the valley.

Also, the correct edge rib that goes on top has a shorter edge tab, and an offset rib pattern at one point to create two breaks in the plane. That prevents water from wicking over the top of the rib, causing a leak. Water is not only sneaky in defying gravity, it is also the most destructive force on earth.

Fastener application varies by region, by manufacturer, by pitch of the roof, and by climate zone. Do you deal with hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, high rain events, hail, high humidity, or desert dry? Application and country/national/local buidling codes dictate the fastening conditions. Cost is also a factor. If everyone could afford a hidden fastener system it would be the norm. This looks like a great install.

So far the comments are all 100% opposite of the correct installation instructions. I guess the people who cant or have never done this work are the expert commentors. If you dont believe me just google installation instructions for corrigated meatl roofing and see the manufacturers installation cut sheet.

Fasteners should be in the ridges just in case theres leakage and theres zero thermal board in between the 1 x 4 's

What would you do for a single slope roof? How would you seal up the top to ensure water goesnt get under but still allow ventilation.

Los tornillos van en la conva y no en la canal ya que con el tiempo va haber Goteras

Shouldn't the screws be done on the ridges or peaks and not in the valleys of the sheet to prevent leaking overtime?

Apparently nobody here saw previous videos where the underlayment was put down and sealed and will obviously shed any water that gets past a screw in the metal. It's pretty clear the metal is there for aesthetics and to protect the waterproof layer below it.

And that my children is how you properly vent a metal roof. Now, you can insulate or spray foam underneath without all the condensation issues.
