Christianity has so much early written historical evidences - that I thought I should smash together a fast and easy video, as it could be one of the MANY tools to have in your arsenal for the next time you may hear a silly skeptic claim like that; "Jesus being God was never a thing before the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD!!!"

Another excellent video! Clear, succinct, well researched, and nicely edited. It's funny how modern "free thinkers" rarely go where the evidence leads, but instead go with whatever their opinion thinks most damaging to Christianity... The real "controversy" in the early Church wasn't that Jesus was God, but rather than he was also man. Non-Christians had no problem believing a god could appear in human form - they had difficulty believing God would WANT to become man b/c they had no conception of divine love.

This is great. I've been wanting to look at early high christology more. I have Larry Hurtado's book but haven't read it yet. I also have and need to read "Two Powers in Heaven". You could also pull in scribes using the nomina sacra in early manuscripts.

There are people who state that the stories about Jesus from the Gospels have become embellished over time. Therefore the facts are not there anymore. Everything that the Biblical sources tell us isn’t true. Others have said that outside of the Bible there are no other written records about Jesus. Thanks for this video.

This destroys Islam for me.
No way the disciples disciples who knew people like John and Peter talk about Jesus like this.
And every time I show this info to Muslims they never counter by showing their Muslims who hold to tawheed.
They just say well they are not technically trinitarians.

Ok even if they're not trinitarians they still give Jesus some form of deity, which no Muslims can ever do.

Remember the old days when rifles had to have a new bullet rammed down the barrel and a new charge set it place before you could fire another shot? You'd be facing the enemy, fire a shot, hand the rifle off to a young man to reload it for you as you picked up another rifle and fired a second shot. Daniel, that's NOT what it's like with you.
