If the Supreme Court would only do its job properly (i.e. decide on matters of law only) then the outcome would be simple and immediate: no person can claim the cloak of office for immunity from breaking the law. Without an overseer (the Constitution, the law, etc.) to define their powers, the gaggle of children playing justice would allow the nation to run amok. We can do without that. Bring back the adults in the room.

I would like to hear Mr. Weissmann and Ms. Murray address Justice Gorsuch's suggestion that the Supreme Court will be writing a decision for the ages. Will it be a decision that will come to be regarded more like Dred Scott or more like Brown v. Board of Education?

It's We the people of good will opinion, That the SCOTUS should dismiss the immunity argument and send it back to district court for immediate trial, after all the entire lower courts decision couldn't have been wrong, and if not, it should be an incentive for the people from which the powers are derived to vote overwhelmingly for Democrats, so that they can immediately start doing something about the SCOTUS and other areas of government. The current Supreme Court is not there to decide critical Constitutional questions that come before it, it is there to rubber stamp MAGA issues. It should not be this way, but that is what it has become. Gorsuch should not have been on the court because that was a position that Obama should have filled and Alito and Thomas should not be on the court because by all rights they should have to recuse themselves and about half the issues that come before them.
