I totally understand why people are so angry but you have to remember that most clothing brands today are like this. Shein is not the only one. I will admit that I do shop on Shein sometimes but that’s because like most people, I can’t afford expensive clothing that is made is the USA. If I were to shop only at stores that have quality clothing then I would be broke. Believe me I don’t like the backstories behind my clothing but nowadays that’s the only choice I got.

My friends have all been shopping on SHEIN and to be honest I was also thinking about it because of how cheap and tempting the prices were. Watched this video and it’s just horrible. I have to inform my friends about this. Pls let this be viral, everyone should know the truth.

People are so quick to tell others to shop sustainably when some of us can’t even afford to go buy groceries or fill our car with gas…. All I can afford in terms of clothing is goodwill or SHEIN. If there was a “sustainable” brand that didn’t charge me an arm and a leg to buy then maybe I’d be able to buy for now I’ll stick to sub-par quality I guess

I’m writing a paper about this for school and decided to do more research, I am truly shocked. I want to be an environmentalist in the future and Im trying to live a green life currently, as well. I do have questions.

- Is it okay to continue to shop on SHEIN if I recycle clothing I prefer not to keep anymore/pass down, or am I adding to the problem?

I shop at SHEIN and all my clothes I’ve gotten is really cute and I enjoy shopping there but although this is a really dark side so instead of buying $700 worth of clothes……. I will be buying $50 worth of clothes🤷🏽‍♀️(sorry I just love shopping there)

this video explains a lot! i tried a top on that i ordered and it left purple ink stains ALL over me and i have eczema (meaning it was super itchy for me). ive heard many people have got ringworm from there too.

Shein style is really something I live it but after watching it. It really breaks my heart and one of the viral post on Facebook says kidnapped kids for slavery. Their clothes are really good so their workers should get paid enough and should get hire to a good company because they deserve it they make a lot of clothes that are really good means they are good of fashion. Please do something and get this company pay their workers until they bankrupt.

I don’t support slavery nor anything like that. But some people have to realize that SHEIN expresses many people comfort and style at affordable prices. I am guilty of buying from SHEIN and although it’s not a good backstory behind it, DOZENS OF STORES do the same thing. No thay doesn’t make it any better but I’m just saying it’s not just SHEIN. This is horrible to find out but I can’t afford anything else I just can’t I’m in dept so I have to stick with SHEIN until I get better finances.

the people who are saying "idc I'm still buying from there anyway" you do realise you can buy secondhand right? places like vinted, depop (to a lesser extent) and ebay have so many clothes that sometimes you can't get anywhere else and are way better quality than shein and Romwe and go towards small sellers instead of large corporations that exploit their workers.
