One of the most annoying things to deal with when it comes to dress shirts is keeping them tucked in all day long. In this video, I'm sharing four tricks and hacks for keeping your shirt tucked in.

Tips for keeping your shirt tucked in all day long:

1. Make sure your shirt is the proper length.
2. Use shirt stays.
3. Have your tailor add a rubber grip around the inside of your trousers.
4. Try "the undertuck".

Thanks Brian... A couple of things I found using shirt stays, which I now no longer use. They totally destroy your shirts. The clips just rip holes in your shirts and particularly for those who live in hot humid climates, the clips are generally a base metal which oxidises... you can guess what happens from there. My tailor strongly urged me to stop wearing them.

Hey Brian! Great video as always. Personally I believe the best way to have a shirt stay tucked in is to move as little as possible but that's not fun! I also believe having a little bit of the shirt sticking out adds to the non-chalance look, and fixing yourself up after a trip to the bathroom is usually enough. If you're going for a little more casual and in-fashion look (hopefully without a jacket), a muffin top might even be desirable. In any case, always open to new ideas though, I guess I will give the above methods a try if I need to look cleaner!

I used the undertuck method before getting a belt like Tuck-It. Several varieties out there but it's been pretty effective and I forget that I'm even wearing it.

Wtf with these people hating on shirt stays. I have to wear shirts at work and do a lot of bending/reaching (doctor) and these are a lifesaver for keeping an outfit looking sharp through a day. Also much cheaper than buying shirts/pants that are so perfectly fit that I never have issues with coming untucked, especially since I do have a slight muffin top and love handles that easily pull my shirt out any time I sit.

Years ago I saw a belt-like apparatus for sale in a military gear catalog. It was went over and outside your shirt, but under you pants. It was like perforated rubber/flexible, light plastic. Anybody seen that or know where to get something like it.

I always have my undershirt tucked in my underwear. Even when I dont wear a suit.. learned it like this since I was a child ;D I also have shirt stays which I only use sometimes for nicer events and not for work.

oh btw, i think if someone wears a shirt with high armholes, that helps in keeping the shirt not get tugged as much, which reduces the frequency of it coming untucked
