It’s not isometric, it’s perspective-correct 3D. The term you’re looking for is “overhead view”.

I see you reviewed this game on a controller. How is the game control on console? I'm a console peasant can't afford a good pc. I had issues playing wasteland 2 on ps4/ps5. It was clunky on controller controlling each character during combat. It was cumbersome without a mouse and keyboard which seems like the right way this should be played with

But aliens dark descent utilizes your team as a single unit which might make it simpler for console peasants such as myself on a controller. Is it intuitive on controller? Is the gameplay using a controller good?

Anyone on console who can please chime in how the controls on a controller are, I'd appreciate it!
