One of the best decisions ever to bring sprints to MotoGP. It has provided awesome entertainment in WSBK for years now. In F1 this format does not work because nobody there knows how to race properly without wrecking cars, so nobody is willing to take risks.

Can't wait for this season!

I'm the people who love having sprint race or race 2 for the weekend. Even WSBK got 3 races for their weekend, there are 36 races in 12 rounds for their championship. When a rider make mistake or getting unlucky on day 1, they could redeem themselves on day 2. I personally just don't like it when a fast rider got taken off in the turn 1 or the first lap.

I believe there will be some change or adjustment in the future, but this is a good stuff. IMO, we don't really need riders to push hard for FP2 time lap to determine who goes to Q1 and Q2. We just need a better qualifying session & rules (like no one allowed to go slow / time limit on how long a rider can be on the track during qualifying / or even a one lap shot qualifying).

If anyone still has doubts about pecco, s mentality and race craft Get out .in 2022 he came back from 90 points deficit to win championship. This time he'll be 90 points clear at top after 3 races.. He shows his killer smooth aggression on track. His moves on the beast in sprint and on opening lap of race today after bad launch was fantastic
