A guide to visiting Angkor Wat and the Angkor Archeological Park. What you need to know, tips, information you need to make the most of your Cambodia vacation. We recently got back from spending 4 days in Angkor. We bicycled the park, walked it, and took a motorbike out to some off the beaten path temples. We saw over 25 temples and it was amazing - not only because Angkor Wat is just incredible - but it was also practically empty. Since Covid-19, the park has seen a substantial drop in tourism. Now is the time visit Angkor! It's far less touristy. The locals need your support now more than ever. And there's also a deal on tickets that will last for all of 2022. Buy a pass and you'll receive free extra days to visit the park!

Angkor Wat = City Temple never fails to show their natural charms. I was about 9 then and had a chance to visit these ancient ruins before the civil war erupted way back in late 60s. We had to stay at buddhist temple around the area over night bc there were no hotels or guesthouses around. As I remember, I did not see any tourists to roam around. We went on to Kulen Hill and as I remember, the dirt road up the hill was like nothing but boulders and rough. If you have a chance, you can trek up the Kulen Hill to see the water falls. It was so peaceful back then. Most of my family members were gone due to the war. Only memory lives on!

I agree with your comments. I was at Angkor Wat on 26 Dec, and it was great, especially with no tourists, although around Angkor Wat itself, around 9:30am, a lot of locals started showing up, many nicely dressed. I think it was a special day for them. I highly recommend that people should go there now while it's quiet. Plus, the locals need the tourism. My tuk tuk driver was so happy with my business. I think I was the first tourist passenger in 2 years.

Thank you for visiting the country of my ancestors. My family were refugees of the pol pot regime and despite the horrors they have faced they tell me it's important to visit the place of my roots. One day I will visit. Appreciate the content. 🌙

You have the whole angkor complex to yourself. I remembered I was there in 1995 and I almost had the whole Angkor complex to myself, not too many tourists came to see Angkor back then.

I always tell people to plan on taking a day in between exploring temple days, so you dont get "templed out"...but as you have shown, napping is acceptable at any molment...just lay down.

Loved it Thx. Banyan? Trees, wow! Suggestion - since I watch a lot of YouTube videos on assorted topics - RVs, fashion, Latin America. You should spend a couple seconds of time asking your viewers to comment below.. i.e. Would you consider coming now? Which did you like better - the trees or views of the temples ?- is this on your bucket list? Your viewers will respond and increase your comment number. You make great videos and deserve to have way more subscribers. The YTers that I watch that have over 500k viewers always seem to do this in their videos.
