No facial recording this time. Fever and everything took a toll on me this month. This is also why the video is uploaded on Sunday instead of a Friday. I just could not get it done in time :)

If I keep this up, I will have an entire channel full of tutorials about my art style lol. This is not what I had planned, but it is fun :D

I love how you always give free references! I actually always loved drawing fur and I never had to practise it specifically because I actually didn’t ever care about wonky lines. But I discovered that I unconsciously often connect my lines too heavy (for my style) but with music I just flow with the rhythm and the fur. Makes that sense? 😂 Also I started using my own dog as a reference. Poor doggie always gets treats after me positioning her 😂 But I always have the struggle of how to shade them. I mean for the shading at the outlines it’s clear but after that? I guess I only shaded my characters at the outlines for years now 😩 Then I tried to use the same shading technique that I used on the outlines but in the body which in the end looked overworked… I still have to discover, what I really want I guess. These struggles might also be caused by lazy me who hates shading and therefore rushes it 🥲 But thanks a lot for this video! One can say, you really had fun doing it 🥰😊

Funny thing is the way you talk about grouping the fur and how to start drawing it, I usually end up with the longer strokes no matter what, I draw fur like I draw hair fluff haha! Very pretty art style you have though!

I really like the way in your tutorials you clearly show out how its done the right way and wrong including the examples how you do it instead of simply showing what a greenie has to do like in most tutorials. For me personally, it's important tutorial shows how i gotta do something very detailed.
For a past few months i have been trying to find some good tutorials how to paint realistic fur and all i find is base colour + shadow + highlight + details but no information of how i know this is the right place to place the shadow in fur now. Actually i found one tutorial where it was said just study the fur nothing else but when i look at my cat's fur to "study" it i only see a huge pile of floof (he's a goofy boy). Maybe i simply don't know how to look but meh i returned to stylised fur eventho i had 0 idea until this day how to really do it cause 90% of the time i just messed with it having no logic.
Big thanks and keep up the amazing work!

Greetings Valkorey! You have no idea how long I've been searching for how to draw stylized fur! Sure there's a lot of tutorials out there but, they don't exactly cover the style that I want to achieve, until I came across your video! This is very informative, at the same time very entertaining showing the way on how you do it, and for offering a ton of really helpful tips! When you said that watching your video will help improve our fur drawing skills immediately, it really did, well at least for me it did! With your help, I was able to actually improve with my fur drawing skills. So thank you very much for making this video and hopefully a lot of beginner artists will come find your video so that they too will be able to learn! ^w^

OH AND I FORGOT!! Thank you very much for granting your audience free access to your fur drawing reference!!

Thanks for this video it was super helpful. Do you use any sort of stabilization or streamlining when you draw fur. I’m still new to drawing so my lines seem very jittery and I don’t know if that just means I need more practice or use of stabilizers.
