Diverting the whole invasion to save a penguin colony is a wonderful example of humanity. Thank you.

We were and still are so lucky in the UK to have the best armed forces in the world 👍 And a massive thank you to all of them 👏👏

Would highly recommend Rick jolly’s ‘doctor for friend and foe’ to anyone looking for an interesting read about the Falkland

Love the eccentricity of the English - writing a book about all the beaches on a small island in S. America which no-one has ever visited except the King Penguins! 😂

When the British relate a story it always sounds so professional and interesting. It's amazing how they accomplish that.

I remember the sas/sbs firing on fanning head as we approached the shore.

Stunning and excellent explanation as to how they did it.
Thank God for the Royal Marines and their expertise with landing craft boats.

This was interesting but would like to see some interviews with the “rank and file” added in.

Ian Gardiner looks like he could be John Lithgows brother.

I've often wondered why they didn't wait until a day with low cloud/rain to land? Couldnt have picked a better day for flying!?🤔

Amazing that they refer to amphibious forces all time and all they show are images and videos of the Marines… but 2 Para were the first to land on the beaches, the only battalion to take two key positions and were first into Port Stanley 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yet AGAIN the lead pictures are of the cabbageheads. Youd think there was no one else there. No piccies of 2 Para going at the same time. lets be frank. The hardest battles in that conflict were carried out by 2 and 3 Para AND the Scots Guards. Sending 2 Para with zero tracked support against Goose green was a disgrace.

i didn't know the Admirals and commanders did such an awful landing job. they waited, and waited, and waited - when they should have off-loaded as quickly as possible.

40 years ago now. That's crazy. I joined the Royal navy a week after 9/11. Destroyer HMS Edinburgh. They were still using the same radar system they used during the Falkland war.
The Argentina pilots were good pilots. They just couldn't compete with our fire power
