Why your Joie harness might be difficult to use!

A few tips on why your joie car seat harness might be difficult to tighten or loosen. Joie straps are very prone to twisting, which can make things tricky!

Thank you - this was really useful, seat is light use as I’m grandma. Couldn’t understand what was happening as straps appeared straight. I managed to straighten them with the seat in situ with the cover on - it was a bit fiddly and awkward but I did and now it tightens uniformly. The seat is a joie spin 360. Thank you very helpful!

Joie stages and every stage seats are well made but have a serious design flaw! Yes one of the issues is the harnesses becoming twisted BUT the main issue is we here the pull cord part of the harness used to tighten the harness has no ‘feeder’ rails inside the seat so that when you pull the tightening cord it goes off centre (inside the seat) and becomes jammed on the edges of metal push down button! The edges become frayed and over time becomes harder and harder to tighten. With an every stage rated to last until ages 12 I find it very hard to believe it will last that long! Seat has been nothing but difficult since the day we bought it 🤦🏻‍♂️

I need to take my baby out tomorrow can u please show how to move the belt up? The one tht goes over the baby's shoulder. Its too tight on him now and the belt is still at the low level. Hope this makes sense. Thanks x
