HOMEBREW Pressure Transfer From SS Brewtech Brew Bucket to Keg

This is the way I pressure transfer from the SS Brewtech Brew Bucket to a keg. This helps reduce the amount of oxygen being exposed to the beer in the fermenter which can cause off flavors and oxidation. I always transfer my beers to kegs under pressure!

Another good tip is to add potassium metabisulfite to the purge keg as preventative measure.

Wouldn't leaving the PRV full open introduce oxygen?

When you’re getting the hose connected to the top of the bubbler won’t that let in oxygen? Or does it only let in a tiny bit so it’s no big deal? I have the same setup so that’s why I’m asking. I’m new to this.

Why waste the co2 that’s in the purged keg? Just run your silicone tube from the gas post on the keg into the top of the brew bucket, that would send the beer into the keg with gravity, and the co2 back into the top of the brew bucket.
