A Mass. Eye and Ear Pediatric Surgical Day

Meet Sam. She is having surgery at Mass Eye and Ear today. Sam and her parents are sharing their experience to help show others what a surgical day can be like here. Sam's experience is only to give you an idea of what will happen when you arrive at Mass. Eye and Ear for pediatric surgery. It is important to note that every child is different. Your child's experience may differ from what is shown in this video. We encourage you to share it with your child, but recommend you view the video first to determine if it is suitable. I have had surgery twice the first time was a mouth absis removal and the second one was a endoscopy

When I woke up from anesthesia I was crying badly, beating my legs against my bed. In OT I scared the same that at night I get scared due to a bad dreams. Again got uncounciousn due to bleeding from my throat from the stiches . But docs managed it,
They did great 👍thanks to all those docs

where is her eye and ear surgery.  I had surgery and I had my head in a cast and eye patched on both sides.

i was having ear operations to put grommets in my ears because doctors thought i had hearing loss and it turns out i had APD (Audio processing disorder) instead and all my surgeries were not needed at all and also recently got diagnosed with Autism. So yeah i was quite traumatized by all the operations i had as a kid
