As far as I know, your analysis is spot on. My son completed his MSc in Logistics from a very good university in Aug-22. He could get a well paid job in a start up as he has experience of three years in India. His role is more of operations, sales and strategy. The employer doesn't have a sponsorship license so he is on PSW. All his classmates are still doing par-time or survival jobs.
He and his friends have been selected for few other jobs in big corporate but could not get the offer letter due to their visa status.

As a father, I was against taking up supply chain course but my son was adamant and he took up course in a uni which has Operations as a sub subject with SCM and logistics. I didnt insist because he will not be taking any loan and hence he can recoup his fee in PSW time itself and he can find a decent job in India on his return..

My conclusion is there are opening in SCM, but for people with experience and work visa.
Freshers finds it difficult to find sponsored job in any field.
Please stay away from Management courses unless you have experience and aptitude in that field.

Please share first hand experience in finding a sponsored job.

Completely agreed. As a current student, I can relate that this is the harsh reality that mam is telling in this video. She is just spreading awareness for students to choose the right career path which no one does. So it would be best if you researched first what makes you interested before selecting courses. Select your university and courses wisely and have some knowledge of that course before coming here because the university does not do spoon-feeding.

Thank you Sarika for making this video. I Myself was planning on studying MSc Strategic Marketing next year in the UK and was planning on taking an Education loan to do so hoping on landing a Visa Sponsorship job but looking at the current job market and low demand for my course it has been made pretty clear that it's just not worth taking so much risk and not having a surety of getting a job in the end :/ disheartened but we have to accept the harsh reality

There are job opportunities for each and every one of these courses in the UK. It completely depends on the candidate. Its already a well established fact that most of the people are moving to UK to do masters just for the sake of doing it. And the process and strictness is less than that of USA which makes things easier for people with a lot of money just moving to a different country to just have a good time. It's because of such people that there is this situation now. But if you can hone your skills right and have good communication skills, you CAN get a high paying job in the UK. Learn to crack it. Be thorough in your subject and learn to put forward your strengths properly.

Hi everyone, I studied in the UK and then landed a job with Skilled Visa Sponsorship. I studied International Business Management. I agree UK job market is experience dominated so if you can get internships/placements with the big brands even before coming here this helps immensely. I agree Fashion and Agriculture are very niche and competitive. STEM subjects are in demand. I saw students who studied Marketing landing a visa sponsorship so everything is in your hands! Good luck! 🍀

I’ve taught in a “highly-rated” language department for many years and I honestly feel that both graduate and undergraduate students are being deceived, not only in terms of what they get during their course but also in relation to their job prospects.

I don't think so supply chain is a low value course, if the person already has experience in the same field, it's possible to get in the supply chain field.

Hi Sarika, what is your opinion on Msc in Finance or Msc in Financial Analytics? Which one would be more beneficial for international students who is already a CFA?

Great Video and very honest, objective tips. I'm considering pursuing a Master's in Business Analytics from either Aston University or Queen's University Belfast. What would you suggest as the better option? Your insights would be greatly appreciated as I weigh my decision. Thank you for your help.
