How To Play PREFLOP Hand Ranges PERFECTLY!

PokerCoaching coach Lexy Gavin walks you through everything that you need to know in order to play pre-flop perfectly in No Limit Hold’em Cash Games!

It is key that you learn the important factors to consider when deciding whether to enter a cash game pot at the poker table. These include; position, opponents, stack sizes, implied odds, reverse implied odds & the table dynamic.

Having position in any given poker hand is extremely advantageous. When you decide to raise in early position the likelihood that you will be in position post-flop will decrease as you will likely pick up callers behind you that are not in the blinds.

The range of hands that you decide to raise first in (RFI) from the button (BTN) should be much wider than when you are under the gun. This is because you are always going to be in position from the button and will likely be out of position when raising from under the gun (UTG). Lexy Gavin talks through all of the ranges that you should play from each position at the poker table.

You should learn good solid fundamental preflop ranges but be willing to adjust depending on your opponents and the table dynamic.

Be sure to take the quiz at the end of the video and let me know your answers in the comments section below.

What do you think is the most important factor you should consider when deciding whether to raise preflop? 🤔

This is why I like female as teachers and coaches. They make sure that their students learn from them. I hope you can repeat the fundamentals of preflop and postflop strategy of Mr. Little in your own way and style. Thanks.

How aggressive are the players yet to act, to me is the most important, followed by stack depth, followed by rake structure. Allows you to loosen or tighten from standard per-position ranges.

For instance at short depth and high rake, KJo is going to be better than 87s.

Good but, how come most pre-flop strategies don't address limped pots, which are very common live and low stakes? I usually tighten up my range about 1 level (eg if I would normally open Q9s+, I will change to QTs+) and add 1BB per limper to bet size to discourage players after from coldcalling, but not sure if this is good or not.

Question. I always hear about the opening ranges when folded to, but are these the same ranges to use when other players limp to us? Are there tables for raising when there are limpers?

I seriously don't get this ranges... why Shouldn't I play if i get JT under the gun if it is all up to the cards dealt also seems to me all this charts is just a way of better player knowing what your cards are in every spot if you choose to follow these... who said I cannot or shouldn't win a hand with JT off... if there is AKQ ir two jacks or even one dealt.
Pliease help me understand 🤨🙄🤯

@18:50 -- so you're *not* opening JTs in early position? That seems overly tight to me, in all but the most aggressive games. IMO, JTs is an example of an *implied odds* hands, not a reverse implied odds hand. When the board comes 89K and your opponent has KJ or KQ, they're going to lose a lot of money -- you just need to have the discipline not to go crazy with top pair.
