This video is well done. I’ve tied flies for about 50 years and really get a special joy out of catching a fish on a fly I have tied. This man communicates his excitement and his passion for the same things: tying and then fishing his ties. I was impressed with his tying room, very beautiful and calm! Thanks

Thanks for the great video. I recently took the Red-Tag to the central Drakensberg South Africa 🇿🇦

The result was the best stream fishing I have ever experienced. The pattern was irresistible to the wild spawned Brown and Rainbow trout. The fish in this area are known to tough to catch. I was amazed when I saw trout dart across entire pools to chase down this fly on the drift. I fished it under a small indicator.

The flies are fantastic. I am sure they will work in Colorado. I learned so much watching the fishing segment on Euro nymphs for and Grayling as well. Thanks for taking the time to share your talents!

Great video. I have learnt stuff I wish I knew long ago. Simple ties which I don't I doubt will work.
No fancy vanity stuff, just common sense.

I found this video to be very informative and enjoyed watching it, I was very impressed with the information and the ability to catch numerous trout and still have the nymph looking the same as the day it was tied

These are great flies. I would love to fish these flies. I have had a long fishing career and have caught countless fish; mainly trout and steelhead. This week I took a younger man up to my favorite spot on the Deschutes River in Central Oregon. I’ve been teaching him how to fish. We were doing tight-line nymphing. I was blessed with a large strong rainbow but he did not get into a fish. I would have him use these flies and hopefully he would hook into a nice rainbow. I sent this video to him. Thanks for your great work!

The pattern that have worked best for me (and have been given most time) is a frenchie like yours but with salmon pink dubbing as hot spot.
I’ve got to try the peacock dubbing though👍🏼
Love the technique twisting the fibers around the thread!
Thanks Cato!

Great style and thoughtful comments. Love the white fly display stands too. Fishing for grayling on the ruby in Montana. Simple but effective fly tying tying techniques.

Hi, great videos you make. Yes, less on the hotspots. Here in NorthCal here is a high pressure on the fish. Guys use alot of beadheads now days that really scare the fish. Here, one of top 3 flies definetly is zebra midge. Super simple to tie, natural and effective.
