The 'palos' (stems) attenuate, weaken bitterness at the expense of flavor duration. In general, Uruguayans prefer less stems than Argentinians. That's why 'Canarias' brand is the most popular in Uruguay.

I personally am not a huge fan of Taragüí (im argentinian) not so much because of the flavour but because its quite EXPENSIVE. I tend to gravitate towards sin palo yerbas because they're not as acidic and my gut takes it better like that, although in the end, no matter the yerba, one cant say no to mate

You should try the vacuum packs. I cannot go back to the normal ones. The taste is a lot better

I also prefer sin palo.
Right now it's Canarias sin palo. I just received Taragui.
I like the powder in Canarias. I actually powder even further in a blender. I drink it like matcha, which is better than green tea in several ways.

Greetings from argentina! What do you think about the sobrecitos? Those little packets with dust that if you mix with water you can make the tereré juice. Surely it is not as natural as making it with the fruit from scratch but I think it is good option if you are in a hurry or in the case of having to go to another place like a beach and be able to prepare it there
