The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to a Japanese group, Nihon Hidankyo, which represented survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings.

The committee said it was awarding the prize for the group's efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons, and to demonstrate why they must never be used again.

Tbh, if it wasn't for the nuclear bombs, the Japanese imperial army wouldn't have stopped their attrocities. Even the Americans were wary of using it due to the devastation, but Japan never stopped fighting (especially in China and Korea).

They shouldn't have been used on innocents though.
