ADHD isn’t just 🐿

Women are severely under-diagnosed for ADHD because many of the symptoms more common in women are difficult to see — day dreaming, difficulty paying attention, forgetful, makes "careless" mistakes, loses things, disorganized, easily distracted.

People can have ADHD without any hyperactive symptoms (Inattentive ADHD).

If you think you have ADHD, I made a worksheet to help determine if you meet the diagnostic criteria and talk to your doctor about it!

I literally was told “you don’t look like you have adhd” yesterday. I was like “oh no, I DEFINITELY have adhd. Also, I was supposed to go get breakfast but then I saw the bags I started packing for my vaca and ended up packing more just for fun and forgot about food 😂

As a person with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) We just like to zone out and create our own realm inside our heads.
A little story time, when i was in a class, there was this girl near a window seat, where i was looking out of. Then she leaned back and turned her head to look at me, so our eyes met. She was like: 🤨
While i was like: 👁 👄 👁

Just found your youtube and its helping me a good bit. 22 student and just got shocked last week when i went to the doc to ask to change my anxiety meds that a lot of my symptoms and signs from being younger has him thinking i have adhd. Done a test and waiting for results. Trying to overcome the mindset of what adhd means as growing up i was the "smart kid" until exams when i had to study and just coukdnt get the grasp of that. Realising that getting on top of this and being diagnosed is actually a good thing and allows me to learn to work in ways that work for me and your videos really do help with that (sorry i know thats a sprawl :P)

I was getting overstimulated and had to tell my teacher and she wanted me to explain why and I told her that i have ADHD. She the said that i don't seem like i have ADHD because I'm not hyperactive.

Ever heard of masking? I then proceeded to get more overstimulated and was so close to hyperventilating that i really just walked away and to the changing room (this was during pe class btw)

I feel like my brain has been swapped with a cat's brain functionally. Not like I can't be present a little, function basically. But like, people get boring and I got naps to take and hobbies to hunt lol

I went to a small private school in 8th grade, and looking back on it there were probably only 2 of my classmates that didn’t have adhd. The school wasn’t designed for the purpose of students with adhd, my class (which was the only 8th grade class that year at my school, 17 8th grade students total) just happened to have a bunch of high IQ people with adhd in it. A mistake was made unknowingly by the school’s admin because they put us in classrooms with windows for most periods, so that meant that every time a literal squirrel ran by the window, the 15 of us with adhd simultaneously would notice, blurt out SQUIRREL!, and then continue on with our work 😂. Needless to say that year was interesting to say the least, many deep and intelligent discussions considering our age at the time, but it definitely got crazy at times

Unironically if somebody says squirrel I will often repeat the word squirrel in an excited tone and frantically look around, I do not know why

I have a friend who is very much ADHD and the most ironic thing is that squirrels are her favorite animals and she is literally OBSESSED with them. And she has been even before she or her parents understood what ADHD was.

I hate when that happens, I then always try to explain them that there is different types of ADHD/ADD...which they all respond to with "I didn't know, always thought their just crazily hyper".

it!

The thing is I have actually done the squirrel thing. In my defense they were HOLDING AN ACORN AND WERE FUCKING ADORABLE I wasn't ready and just shouted, _"🐿️!"_

I’ve been clinically diagnosed with ADHD and when people figure out they’re always like “ there no way you have ADHD!!” Just because I’m not jumping off the walls 24/7 😭😭 like I’m not gonna be hyper every second of the day 💀
